Event Planners are not Secretaries


Albert Einstein wasn’t just a pretty face with a brilliant mind, he also said: ‘If you always do what you always did, you will always get what you always got.’  Secretaries aka Personal Assistants undertake a variety of essential organisational tasks generally under the instruction of management. Event planners concentrate on an event brief and from the set objectives, apply solid expertise together with sound, ongoing advise in order to ensure a successful event. Irrespective of event type or capacity – an event planner will guide, provide hard-earned recommendations and carry out a range of tasks on an ongoing basis.   Many event planners sell themselves short by not ensuring potential clients understand the fundamental differences between secretarial duties and event planning tasks.
